Has anyone had the trans on the MR act like it didnt know what its doing?
Ive had this happen a couple times in auto sport mode. I saw this X Lancer GTS that lives by me and pulled up beside him. We were doing about 40 or 50 and I floored it. It shifted down to 4th i believe and then stuck at the rev limiter(i think) and wouldnt shift for a second or two and wasnt gaining any speed. Just wondering, this is the 2nd or 3rd time this has happend......anyone else?
Thanks!
Thanks!

OK, so we have yet to hear of anyone with a bone stock MR having this issue, so for now, it seems that the transmission doesn't behave perfectly with mods in certain situations.

My MR is bone stock right now and I've never had this issue.
If there's anything that I've learned with twin clutch transmissions:
You do have to alter how you drive to compensate for the lag that occurs when the computer gets confused. Well, actually it's not so much being confused but not exactly being ready to go to the lower gear. Remember, don't fight the computer and don't lift off the gas either between shifts... as great as these transmissions may be, they do tend to get finicky... and when you mod the car, a tune is your best friend to bring the system back in line.
Another thing specific to the TC-SST: when you're not driving the car on the open road (read: track time), Sport and S-Sport will go a long way toward keeping the system from going stupid. But if you're trying to go off the line in Normal... that's different.
