I think its says on the website you can pay $20 a year to join if you are not in the military. Can anyone else confirm?

Yes this is true. I posted about this a few months ago and called to verify. I'm in the Reserves and it's working great. 4.25% for 60 months.

It's a one time $20 donation.

I have their rewards credit card. 5% cash back gas, 2% groceries, 1.25% everything else.

Okay, cool but do you have to qualify with your credit to get the auto loan or just make the donation? I have good credit but since I'm only turning 20 my credit history is small, only a couple years long. I have a high score If i do, I'm on my way to get the evo x in 9 hours!!!

Penfed usually pulls Equifax and they generally won't bite until around 680 or higher. But if you're looking for a used car DEFINITELY give them a shot. For a new car, you can probably do better through Mitsubishi Credit.

Oh ok, yeah. Well a 680 shouldn't be a prob. Like I said, the the credit history is small. But I'ma call rite now when I get out of work and see what they say. If I get approved, I'm going to south coast mitsu or my local dealer(15 min drive or south coast is 35 min drive) and working that deal tonight or this weekend for sure!
