Anyone regret getting a X ?
The Mitsubishi dealership I went to has a very special place in their heart for the Evo and though they assured me that they would let me drive it, I hate being treated like a freewheeling stunter when I walk on the lot. I understand that these salesmen are used to 19 year olds trying to get joyrides, but they need to recognize the difference between a qualified buyer and poser.
.
I told a dealership: "Im taking that one, here's a downpayment. Have it ready in 3 days, because Im going out of the country later tonight and coming back in 3 days"
I go back and they changed their "offer" on me saying "well, we are not used to peopel actually coming back for the Evo, so the offer has changed".
Needless to say, I grabbed my down payment and went somewhere else.
THE 335xi loaded with the same things I have in my EVOX is 10 freaking gran more, how is it a comparison?

Mine said 40k and I got it for 37k. 13k difference, not comparable.

My regret was the weight. I didn't really want a "luxury" car, and I had been looking for an Evo8/9 RS model, but since the X was just a bit more money brand new, I bought that instead. I figured I could live with the weight that was piled onto the EvoX, but I was wrong. It seems as if Mitsubishi made the new Evo for the people who want a vehicle that's more creature comfortable than for performance. Doing it over again, I just would have bought a stripped down / modded 8 or 9 RS. Not sure what I'll buy now that my X is gone.
yeah if your talking girls i think you can attract more girls in an evo X than you can in a bmw..they like cars that bring attention and pulling up with an evo X with a nice sounding BOV and a good aftermarket exhaust...thats sex
How do you come about on girls are more attract to EvoX then BMW 335??
BOV??? thats a guy thing man..Exhaust?? thats a guy thing too.
well my wife interseted more about performance then looks. She drove german cars now over 8 years , but she want her next car to be an Evo./no more dealer meets monthly
/
I gues i'm lucky.
No regrets here.
/ her first track day at Lime Rock she finished with my car in the 17th place out of 60+ guy who raced that day.
, that was a IX RS /

I drove an Evo VIII for 3 years and couldn't be happier. As soon as there were news about the Evo X I was ready to switch cars. When the Evo X finally came out I test drove it and decided to wait for the MR. I found the Evo X slow, that may be due to my experience driving a modded Evo VIII. Also the trunk was so small that it wasn't practical anymore. The interior was nicer and better quality than the VIII, however the thought "plastic" and "cheap" came to my mind right away. Because of these issues I decided to keep looking for different options, and at the end I got a Lexus ISF.
I've been car shopping these past days because it's time for my wife to get a new car, she drives a 2006 GTi. After visiting different dealers we ended up checking out the Subaru Tribeca. While there I took a look at the STi and it's a beautiful car, right there with the Evo X. There is one thing that caught my attention: interior quality. The STi's cabin feels much better than the Evo, it gives you the impression of being in a better quality car.
I'd say test drive all the cars that you have in your list, and not only consider performance but also quality, gas mileage, and retained value

You need a car to attract girls? I think you have a problem there...
Besides, the mayority of girls are more attracted to money than any other thing, and they know for sure that a BMW is way more expensive/higher class than a Mitsubishi.

Oh and the 335i still comes out to nearly 8k more. wtfbbq. You have to pay an extra 850 for sport package and than 600 just to upgrade to 18'inch full alloy wheels...which is standard **** on an EVO.
The 335i is not in the same price range to be compared and frankly I would rather go with the Audi S5 considering how close to price became after I built it to that. The 135i on the other hand is much more comparable on price to the X but that is partly due to that fact that it has no AWD and I wanted AWD.

Yea.....seriously. I don't know how to even answer people who rate "sex attraction" on a car as part of a car quality. The way some people make it sound is as if when you buy a BMW you have girls jumping on your hood when you are coming down the street.

Part of the reason why I bought the EVO is the AWD. I want AWD and it is more expensive to equip it for the manufacturer out of factory. Fact being fact you will always get raped in the Ahole a bit extra for buying a more popular name brand. I simply compared the model of the BMW 335 that is closest to the EVOX with my luxuries. That is all. Only thing I couldn't choose in my EVO is leather though cow skin really doesn't interest me in the first place. Didn't mean anything else by it, I think the 335i or xi is a fantastic car.
