Anyone regret getting a X ?

I'm planning to get a X in a month or so... so far, has anyone regret or not happy with the car? I've read many magazine and test drove once. i'm liking it so far. seems to line up with what most magazine are saying about the performance.... but the test drive was short....

i've been on this site for a long time. many loved the car... some sell it in a month...

true that , i would vote that many people buy the car but have buyers regret signing themselves into debt when in fact its a horrible time to be in debt for everyone.

I've seen some people post payments over 750 a month. Then you add insurance for somebody 25 and younger it could be another 250+ a month.

At those ages, 1k a month for a car is a bit tedious. It happens with just about any new cool car. People go out and get them, and when the bills start rolling in they are forced to sell at a loss. The idea is to keep payments low and put a huge amount down so you have equity.

Eventually the economy will recover and things will improve. As far as regrets? I have no regret yet. I just brought mine home Friday.

I'm learning how to drive all over again. I think I figured out that if I don't push the accelerator I can coast through school zones riding the brakes lol and not get a ticket. Even in normal mode that car is fast.

I love it. Absolutley love it. Silver MR's are pretty rare. Glad to see I'm not alone. Post some pics up and pm me the link.

LOL... It's like riding a bike, at first you're rusty, then it gets better.... hahah... I will as soon as I post them. And you're right...the car is fast in normal mode...i am excited to try it out on s-sport's mode...my car just hit about 1400miles...i wanna see what this babiee can do...i will even more impressed regardless.

I had my windows tinted 21% ($245)& had clear bra applied (around $850-$900). I don't want to modify it because the body kit is awesome already....

+1

A monthly car note over $600 is scary unless your income allows it.

I have owned my evo for 7 months now and I absolutly love the thing. There are times when feel like I should have gotten a lotus elise, c300, or the 125i so I can have that instant wow factor with the ladies; but the sound of their screaming when I launch or take corners insanly fast is soo much better

Other than paying the price that I did, there's not much to regret...next time I'll buy an Audi though.

Love it and so glad I got the GSR. Only other car out there comparable is the Sti although do like the new Camaro. Wife's Tc Turbo is paid off next year. Thinking about selling it and getting something else in a couple of years. GTR was WAY too much money and I prefer a real clutch pedal myself. Call me old fashioned, but it's just more fun.

Visibility

There is one downside to this car and that is visibility. The side mirrors coupled with A pillars, containing air bags, signficantly obstruct side view when turning. So you have to see the position of the curb prior to the turn and estimate where it is at the turn because you just cannot see it. I know this is somewhat of a furnction of how long your torso is but for me, those mirrors have to go! Other than that, no regrets; the X is a great car for the $$- you can't go wrong!

Later, Ken
AMS Single Cat back
AMS intake
K&W Robispec
