I'll keep updating this list. Now of course we put a lot of the stuff back into the car (hey, it needs doors!) but so far looks like we'll pull out around 300lbs from the factory weight. Goal is to have the car weight 3000lbs but I think it will be closer to 3100lbs. Ivan is doing an awesome job!

Martin, you made a note of the bracing and how its very heavy by comparison of previous generations.

Is it possible to remove some of this bracing here and there, in conjunction with adding a rollcage to both lose weight and maintain the chassis stiffness?

Or, is it just better to leave the chassis and deal with the weight?

The only reason I ask, is the fact that dry carbon trunks, carbon doors etc etc is an awfully expensive route for us commoners. Also, Im asking because you are seemingly one of the shops to have the car torn to its skivvies. Keep up the good work fellas!

Some updated pictures for you.

Someone had asked for pictures of how the actual hood pin is mounted to the chassis so we have that for you. Also we have some nice pictures of the underside of the Seibon pieces so you can see how nice they are. Lastly some of the new Fuel Surge tank system

I don't like the idea of fuel lines in the passenger compartment..especially not inches away from a 12v battery post.

Not trying to hate on your car, but that is the kind of thing that would probably fail tech inspection.

The chassis itself seems to be the largest contributer of weight over the 8/9 Evo. This winter we will be caging the car up and will take full advantage of the ability to remove weight at that time.

I am looking forward to seeing how crazy we can get. We will surely keep everyone updated on the progress.

The picture is kind of deceiving. The lines are not as close to the battery post as they appear. Final positioning has not been done either. The lines are also non conductive so there is no chance of an electrical short to the battery. There is a metal cover for the lines that keep them grouped and from being pinched under the seat. The fuel sender access cover is also modified and sealed around the area where the lines pass though.

Assuming this goes into production, the lines will be made for us by Goodrich. The plan is to use TFE lined hose with factory style crimp on fittings. This setup will be no different than a car with a fuel cell in the trunk.

The number of braces on this car is insane! There's a brace connecting every point to every point under the car. Hell, there's a brace connecting the compressor housing to the engine block and a brace from the turbine housing to the engine block. Braces everywhere I tell you!

I got the carbon / kevlar roof installed today and Rich was taking pictures. The front and rear windows need to go back in yet and then I can finish the interior trim. The car is going to Sticker Dude on Monday to get the new panels stickered up and the sponsor logos on the car for SEMA. Probably have some completed photos up on Tuesday or Wednesday.

thanks for the hood pin pics. There is a convenient little hole in my Seibon hood right above that point and I was planning on mounting my pins there as well. Thanks so much! I will hopefully see you guys at sema (crosses fingers)!

Ivan, keep that progress posted. Im really curious to see where there is bulk that isnt needed. It'd be nice to see that come off the top half of the car to to continue to bring the CG down. The stock X's just seem to feel.....tall. Idk, maybe its just me. Keep up the good work!
