AMS Shop TIME ATTACK EVO X build Thread!
WOW
That thing's 26 hundred pounds?
holy sh.....
What about power output to the wheels? looks so very nice!
I was also going to ask you if the car was still an Evo X? so asuming you didn't change anything on the drivetrain plus it's got the same 2.0 litter, then it's all fine for me, that's still an EVO!
Plus, it's got Mitsu's three-diamond emblem, so yes, its an evo!

2600-2650 is an estimate. We have not yet weighed the car with the undertray, splitter and full of fluids. It could be a hair more. When we know for sure we will post.
For this event the car should be about 550whp but we might be adding more before the next event. I think 600whp is the goal.
In testing this car was only running at about 450whp tops.

Thanks man for the clear explanation

The chassis for the most part was untouched. Its still using the 4B11 motor the car came with. The Stock trans and AWD setup so I would say for certain this is still an EVO. If this has some other engine in it, was converted to RWD then I suspect that your argument would indeed be true but all things considered this is still an EVO. If you used that same philosophy you could say the HKS CT230R EVO is not an EVO. They have changed even more of the chassis and body of the car.
It's one of those things that I guess could constantly be up for debate. We do appreciate the nice words though and we thank you for recognizing all the hard work we put into it.
As far as the wing, true it might not look the best but this car is not about looks, functionality is the most important theme to this car and that Aeromotions rear spoiler WORKS! Not to mention once we hook up the complete system it will be an active wing that will move based on acceleration or braking to maximize its potential.
As far as what the car will be getting before this weekend. The car is quick...scary quick. Right now on low boost, No front splitter, no flat bottom and Martin driving it to 70% at MOST the car is just as fast as our previous TA1 time attack EVO VIII.
before this weekend the car will be getting close to 100 more WHP, Flat bottom, Front splitter, Brake ducting and Mark Daddio wheel man extraordinaire.

That's been on my dream list for a while, but you're still talking about $6000-$8000 for a trip down there (including travel expenses). Maybe if sponsorship goes up next year that's something we'll do.
I got to see this car in action today at the Nashville Super Speedway for T/A. I got a good look at the car when you guys were in the pits, and I got to see BlackTracks car as well. It was the highlight of my weekend.
