AMS Shop TIME ATTACK EVO X build Thread!
The last few days have been pretty crazy but we finally got the car all buttoned up and ready for some testing. Here are some pics of the preparations leading up to the 1st testing session:

Justin Installed suspension potentiometers.

Heat deflective materials were added under the car..

We've finalized the ducting...

Here are some quick snaps from our 1st Autobahn testing session yesterday:

More images of the final stages of the build along with more pictures from the track can be found in our gallery here:

The car did really well yesterday and we were able to run some pretty good times on low boost and preliminary suspension settings. We're back in the shop today making the necessary adjustments and planning to get back out on the track later on this week for more testing. So far things are looking very promising and we're looking forward to a good showing at the Redline Time Attack this weekend at the Autobahn Country club.

Looking sick guys, looking sick! (that's a good sick)
Are you guys still using brake ducts from the front grill? The final vent design in and out of the IC/radiator is just too cool looking.

The whole car is just awesome! I really like the intercooler/radiator ducting and the front splitter/flat underbody
Keeping up with the underbody aero, are you going to also make a functional rear diffuser?

wow...that has to be the sickest evo X time attack car i have ever seen.......the detail, the color scheme, the cleaness, the ducting.....all amazing....totally out did yourselves this time AMS!! GREAT JOB!!!
So I am the only one that think that the wing is abit over the top ( and in fact "over the back" as well ).
The rest of the car is cool though.
Is that gold foil under the hood?
Man, the built is just insane.

Also I am wondering how many people really think that this car is really still an evo. I have been following this thread from the beginning. It has so much technology and hard work and alot has been changed from the orginal parts. It almost seems that the only thing that this car and an stock evo have in common are the body panels(and most of them have been modified also). to me, saying this car is an evo is the same as saying a funny car(take your pick from any of them) is still the stock car. I am in no way trying to take away from all the hard work and dedication that went into this car because it is in fact a beautiful car. I am just saying it is no longer an mitsubishi evolution. its an AMS "something"

The chassis for the most part was untouched. Its still using the 4B11 motor the car came with. The Stock trans and AWD setup so I would say for certain this is still an EVO. If this has some other engine in it, was converted to RWD then I suspect that your argument would indeed be true but all things considered this is still an EVO. If you used that same philosophy you could say the HKS CT230R EVO is not an EVO. They have changed even more of the chassis and body of the car.
It's one of those things that I guess could constantly be up for debate. We do appreciate the nice words though and we thank you for recognizing all the hard work we put into it.
As far as the wing, true it might not look the best but this car is not about looks, functionality is the most important theme to this car and that Aeromotions rear spoiler WORKS! Not to mention once we hook up the complete system it will be an active wing that will move based on acceleration or braking to maximize its potential.
As far as what the car will be getting before this weekend. The car is quick...scary quick. Right now on low boost, No front splitter, no flat bottom and Martin driving it to 70% at MOST the car is just as fast as our previous TA1 time attack EVO VIII.
before this weekend the car will be getting close to 100 more WHP, Flat bottom, Front splitter, Brake ducting and Mark Daddio wheel man extraordinaire.
