This is what a $35k car's interior should be.
The leather looks a bit classier, and a bit more like what you should get for 35k.
I had to get leather when I bought mine, because I could not get the sun roof as a stand alone option. Yes, its hotter than hell in summer. No, I have never slid around in my seat during and Autocross or track day.
If I had the choice, I would go with the suede/alcantra inserts that were on the IX, but over all leather is not horrible. Plus girls like it better than the blue cloth,

Leather is OK... I don't think the VIII or IX SSLs look bad at all... I do not know why people complain so much bout the interior of EVOs, I've owned 2 Beemers and a Lexus and even they are not worlds ahead interior wise... I think the fact that the interiors of luxury vehicles is also quieter maybe it adds to the overall effect... I can tell you that the interior of the IXs is way better than any 04 to 07 STi hands down
