is it safe to put jack stand on rear sub frame rail?

hi guys i wanna jack up my car and is it safe to put jack stand here,anyone have done that be4? thanks

Why not put it on the frame rail on the outside?

nope i jacked my car up from there and it crumpled a bit.

I wouldn't jack there. The OEM jack should go on the part right by notch at the end of the arrow (not the pointer).

There is a jumble of parts and components down there, but I would go for a suspension mount point if you cant use the OEM jack point. And I can never remember until I am under the car... but I am pretty sure I use that chassis rail for my jack stands as well and have had no adverse effects. I also have polyurethane jack covers which probably helps, but if you gotta use the rail dont place the stand near the bubbled part of the rail (ie left of the arrow) go towards the creased sections. OEM jack is designed to use the pinch weld by the rocker-if you buy a low lift jack (there is a nice set up on amazon-its the blue one with jack stands for like $170) you can jack from the point you are indicating and you will be fine-this is where most shops use a 4 pt to raise the car from-but the pressure is spread out more-the OEM jack is a little small, and you may wrinkle a little. Winter rims going on?
