Wingless plugs
They're called plugs and they're in the bolt and screw section.
Got an estimate today to fill (weld) the holes and paint: $700 for the trunk only, $1050 for trunk and fenders (for better match because of the metallic paint.)
"Ghetto" doesn't seem so bad now.

ya beat me to it, I went to a local vinyl decal shop and they gave me some scrap. It didn't cost me a thing and keeps the water out if it rains. cheap, yet affective. I used quarter sized hole cut-outs (25 cents, not 1/4).
If anyone has pictures of their Evo X without the rear wing, can you post em up. Most interested in say 15-50 feet away. In my neck of the woods, it's sort of like a red flag for the CHP's, so I want to see what they see from the highway view. Thanks.
I have an idea.. which might be stupid.. but what about using just a silicone or something, flattening it out even with the trunk and then putting a little paint on it? Will paint even stick to silicone though?

I just pulled my wing off my car. It was all good until I looked at the holes from the two bolts under the covers on top of the lid. There are f'ing nuts welded to the underside of the lid where these bolt into. I didn't have any grommets at the shop under 6mm which wouldn't fit unless I ground the welds and removed the nuts. What are you all doing for this? I'm thinking about either finding a wingless trunk or visiting the body shop.
sss, and the nuts are welded to the underside of the lid, between the outer and inner metal skins. It looks pretty factory to me, and I can't get to them at all without cutting the inner metal skin.

I can't speak for the SSS wing because i have the cheap-o spoiler, and mine were just bolted on the under side, not welded.
Maybe that's how it comes from the factory, and the one's that are not welded are added at the port, or dealer???

Edit: I would take pics, but it's dark and freakin freezing.
Yea, I have one stud on each side with a retaining nut, and one bolt on each side, along with the stud that clips into the trunk lid. But my retaining nuts are not welded to the trunk lid.
For a temporary solution, the quickest fix is to just buy electrical tape of the same color as the car. The best long term solution is to have a body shop fill in the holes and re-spray the area then clear coat the whole trunk. Because the holes are not in a straight line and the plastic plugs are not complete flat it does not look good. I have not tried the vinyl option, it might work too.
