Hey guys, i was thinking of purchasing a new x sometime this month and was wondering was there any type of option that included with the gsr model? i was hoping that it would come with the 650-watt rockford fosgate sound system? I live in calgary and went to hyatt mitsubishi but got the unlucky guy who did NOT know anything about the car...he literately had to get up and ask the manager everytime i had a question...so basically just wondering what kind of options the gsr model would offer in canada

I would wiat for the 09's. Canadian 08 GSR's are strippers with no SSS package like the US recieved.

 

NO! Im from canada too and we cant get **** on our evo'e. its the absolute base model, plus $15000. Its messed. Could buy a fully loaded GRS in the states for like, 38, and we dont even have access to any options and we get charged 46!! However, you can import one from the states.

 

I know the EVO is a performance car but I don't understand Mitsubishi Canada's rational that Canadians would want to pay $42K for an EVO that has less options than a Corolla. I'm hoping that they are smart enough to offer the SSS package on 09's.

 

Even if your guna wait ...one of the guys at platinum said that it wouldnt change that much and their not getting the 09's near the middle of 2009 haha i dont know if i could wait that long...so back to my main question, does it come with 650-watt sound system base?

 

No, it comes with a package. The only way you can get it in canada is the MR or MR premium even I think. Not on the GSR at all

 

ughh thats just pathetic...ralliarts are lower model and able to get this package but not the EVO???? that really suckss...well for those who has the gsr and the standard audio system, how are they??

 

dude alot of dealers will just let you buy the ralliart package and install it for you into the price. I was pricing out an evo gsr with MR seats, sound system and nav with the MR heated seats too. Wasnt cheap but its possible.

I agree though, 2009s better come with alot more. Im dying to buy one and Ill have the funds soon too but I dont want to have to drop money into the car that isnt for mods

 

wait you could get the MR seat on the GSR as a dealer option kind of thing?!?because that would be awesome! I dont care about the audio package, but I would love the leather heated seats

 

Don't listen to the guys at platinum mitsubishi. They have been trying to unload those five 08 EVO's (four MR's and one GSR) forever and don't even want to talk 2009. Bluetooth will be available on 09 GSR's and some minor interior freshening but HID's and the Fosgate system will be optional as well. If you want those options wait for the 09's.

 

so when do you suggest the 09 models will arrive in calgary? i dont think i could wait if their coming later than feb x) but yeah whats the place you got that information from?

 

Ive spoken with 2 dealers already. They would just order them in as replacements or something, I dont even know, the install them in-house. The wiring for the heating is all there already, Mitsu doesnt change that for each car model. So, well yes. Its not an official option but its a possibility.
