yea i got mine used and i still can barely afford it. im working over time everyday just to pay for it. also my insurance is killing me because i had 3 suspended license already (learned my lesson Chicago cops suck).

Damn!!! looks like you learnt it the hard way. Regardless, chicago cops are saints compared to Northern VA. I live in chicago for 3 years and I all I got was one speeding ticket I could easily fight at the court. In VA though, they give out Reckless Driving tickets like there's no tomorrow. Now I know why everyone in VA drives like a granny...

 

well i use to live in LA and their cops were really mean. two of them were actually from wisconsin coming to chicago. they love giving out of state residence tickets.

 

Well I didn't go from Kia to Evo, I went from Infiniti FX35 AWD to Evo

The Evo is in many ways a downgrade from the Infiniti, but while there's things the FX35 can do that an Evo could never do, I can say the same about the Evo doing things an FX35 could never do.

I'm going from Kia Rio to Mazda Miata if that has any relevance...
Yeah I'm just going off of the youngins I know. I include myself in the "bought brand new but can barely afford it" category... luckily insurance is dirt cheap and I have 0% APR.
Soooo true. Almost my whole life in the Chicago area, 1 speeding ticket. 3 years in Virginia... 3 speeding tickets and 1 reckless driving bumped down to "improper driving," after a hefty $600 lawyer fee. Commonwealth of Crooks... that whole state is one giant joke.

 

Holy crap I didnt realize how young you guys are. Man you guys are doing really well at a young age to be able to afford a $30k car. I was eating at the chow hall 3 times a day so I could drive a '99 civic si at that age. Good job.

When I was 18 I drove an '88 Scirocco and when I was 20 graduated to a MR2 Turbo. Wow an Evo X before 21 must be nice.
