Yeah it's hit or miss. This working world is about who you know, not just what you know or where you were educated. I had friends walk right out of school into jobs paying 80k+/yr

I don't care about judgment, so here's about what it is for me (I'm 32 now)
Income little over 5k/mo. Car is 565, insurance is 94, mortgage is 1394 and utilities top 800 on top of that. Plus with my commute I spent ~$3k in gas last year. Don't forget food.

Okay, plus I'm married, so it seems like there's always something popping up. This year it was a vacation, tires for the wifes car, her $1k birthday gift, her powersteering pump died yesterday, ..she needed $200 for a bridesmaid dress for her best friends wedding, etc. Everyone knows family is expensive. I'm just glad I don't have to budget kids yet. If I do, I'll likely lose the Evo.

Almost forgot the biggest kicker. Out of my slightly over 5k/mo income, between medical insurance, 501k, disability, and taxes...that accounts for 1200/mo off the top.

I honestly decided to buy my Evo with 7k down. I have great credit and a fantastic interest rate, but I'll be under on the Evo for quite a while. I wanted to enjoy my favorite thing in life while I'm still alive

Whether you guys are 18 or 50 and either work your *** off to make the payments, or paid for it up front in cash. We can all agree, we own an Evo because driving it makes all the hard stuff in life liveable

I feel a little better knowing there are other owners in their 30s and up out there

I feel like I have an old soul, though, and this car makes me feel like a kid again.

30 years old here. Married, two kids, mortgage, bills, the American dream. I've convinced myself that the Evo is my "family car".

I bought my X when I was 20. 23 now.

Currently working hard to move my business forward so I can get a new project car. New GT500? Datsun 240Z LS1? Hmmmm
I'm never selling my X, though.

36 here. Pretty good progression of cars in the last 15 years. Latest purchase being a brand new 2013 Porsche Carrera S. Might possibly get another evo X today if all goes well. Meaning if I can get a slamming deal on one. Fiance's open to the idea of using it as a daily driver. She loved our 2008 with full bolt-ons and a tune. We'll see how it goes.
