Canadian deals

so, i'm guessing the waiting has paid off a bit. MR Premium is now $53K, ~$60K after taxes. they have 0% for 36 months and now throwing in a $1000 best buy gift card.

you think they're willing to negotiate to $50K at this time of year or should i wait longer? i'm looking at markham mitsu.

I doubt it. I went to both dealers in calgary..first the "number 1 top seller of evolution in canada" >.> platinum mitsubishi and i kept pressuring him into getting me a discount. i told him stuff like value of the car is guna lower since 2009 is next month, my friend is going to buy a ralliart FORSURE....any discount? and basically went to his manager and came back with no discount whatsoever. told me that their top seller in canada and they cannot do nothing about it....ok thats fine. i went to hyatt mitsubishi which platinum does like like. and they basically told me the same thing! saying its still new TOP of the line and all that. To me, its pretty BS cuz they are not selling that much at all. IMO it should depend how ur guna pay it....they have the "dont pay for 90 days" maybe u buy it now and later be able to pay it off...or wait till they get their 2009 and 2008 may have a even better deal like 0% for 60 months. but this is only my opinion ^_^

I have found that calling, asking for the sales manager and saying, "Hi, my name is ____, I noticed that you have car _____ in your inventory. I am willing to walk in tomorrow and pay $$$$$ inclusive of all dealer fees, plus tax and licensing." They will either say yes, or no. If they say no, call another dealer until you find the deal you want. If no dealer will say yes, then I guess your answer is that they are not willing to negotiate.

There are no deals in Canada. For some reason every dealer still thinks they are flying off of the lots. In winnipeg they had a PB that I went to look at and almost bought when they first came out. About two months ago I went back to see if they would yet budge on the price. I told the salesman that I had been the person who almost bought the PB one when it came out, he started drulling because he thought he had a sale. I asked when they sold the PB one and he said they just sold it the week prior. I asked how long they had that car for and they are still will not budge on the price. He answered they had it for like a month. So I was thinking they sold the PB one I had looked at and got another one. Nope. He was just lying to me. Also the when I first went to the dealership the sales manager told me that under no cercumstance will they get another X until they sold the one they had. When I went back the second time, they had 3. I really have to say that I am almost at the point where I will not deal with mitsubishi because I truely do feel that they are trying to take advantage of their customers. But that is just my opinion.

Platinum has had a bunch of MR's sitting on the lot for months. I'm surprised that they will not budge. They won't budge on Ralliarts but they are selling them as fast as they are getting them which is more understandable but you think they would deal a bit on the MR's considering that they are vastly overpriced in Canada in the first place.
