Service Engine Light came on

So I have 8,000 miles on my Evo X GSR and the Servive Engine Light came on. Per the manual i made sure that the fuel cap was on tight. I am taking to the dealer soon to check out what is going on. So far I have not had problems with the car. Anybody else get this light that won't go away? What was the problem?

Reflash the ECU solved the same problem for me. Happened twice before I got reflashed.

Make sure you find out the code they pulled. We have no idea what's wrong until we know the code.

I think it maybe the fuel cap. It was on tight, but I did not "click" it over. So I am going to run the car for a couple more days, put more fuel in it, and make sure the fuel cap clicks when I tighten it this time. I am hoping that will make the Service Engine soon light go out.

The light went out. It was the fuel cap. I just need to make sure it "clicks" when I tighten it.
