No 2009

Someone deleted my thread on this. Maybe my tone was "poor" or something, so I'll try again!

There has been some talk of this. I just bought a 09 Outlander XLS and I'm at the dealer (Healy in New York) and spoke with the manager. I told him I heard the rumor and he said it's true. They were told recently that at present there are no plans to release a 09 Evo here as a refresh is slated for early 2010. He was surprised that anyone else knew about it.

Since it was in his best interest to tell me otherwise (I was looking to buy in a couple of months) I think his info is on the money.

I'm going to hold off until I hear about the 2010 refresh since spring will be here soon enough and I have a Legacy GT to keep me going along with the new Outlander.

This is valuable info since some folks, once this is known to be 100% correct, will be able to get killer deals on 08's. Others can wait for the new model, but it's a long wait for us with no "deal" to be expected on a even hotter car. I "expect" that the 2010 will be a detuned FQ400 of some type, and that the body will be very close.

I wonder if it will still be a X model. I dont know how long they leave a model out, but i wouldnt be surprised if they went right to the XI.
