Evo X A/C better than the IX's ?
Sorry, not an exciting topic, but here in Arizona 110-120 deg days really overwhelm my IX's a/c. It only seems to catch up when on the hwy for a while. And of course the heat and a/c draw kill the power and spool at sub 3000 rpm. Has anyone noticed better a/c performance coming from a IX to a X? Thanks.

I can give you some input from living in Tucson and having the Evos and other cars with the A/C on. The A/C will rob you power no matter what and you can feel it. Additionally because we are in AZ the car takes much longer to start cooling the cabin due to external temps.
The cooling temps that you are experiencing while on the HWY with the A/C on is very normal, your A/C becomes more eficcient once the condenser gets cooled. My best suggestion is to get sme good window tint and a good winshield cover, it will make a word of difference.

I had a 9 and now an X. The X A/C is much better in my opinion. In the 9, you would know the AC was on because you would lose power, the RPM's would fluctuate and drop faster. I haven't noticed those things in my X. The car drives about the same with or without A/C. Maybe a minuscule lose of power.

why does it matter if its better or not? you couldn't address this A/C problem other way?
There is enough competition already , now it will start with the A/C too?
Which is a next ? The IX or the X smells better?
A/C will take away power no matter what. As long as its cool down a car they working fine.

With the AC on, the X is a dog off the line. You definitely need to slip the clutch slower and you can feel it really working (just like most turbo AWD cars). Once you get moving, the loss in power is not as noticeable.

LMAO now thats funny....
but O/T, the only thing that ive noticed (have a IX and X) is that the climate control seems to find me well (i live in hawaii)... both cars have some frosty A/C... i dont use the A/C in my IX too much.. i think they both get the job done... then again, it doesnt get 110-120* F here
