Just take your time saving up for the down payment. That way you will have more to put down. Not to mention that this economy of ours. Isnt going to get any better. Anytime soon..

Its probably not going to still be an X guys.... the model cycle is about 2 years so 08/09 will be the X and 10 will probably be the start of the XI. Although having a 2010 X is kinda hot.

If there's any major changes like 50hp bump in power revised interior and an upgraded xfer case, i would say wait it out for the 2010 model year. any model that has to be heavily revised after a year in production (U.S. models) when the new model comes out the value of the 08' are gonna drop like a rock. (remember this is still a 1st year car so all the bugs aren't worked out anyway)

yep the 08s are the first model year so I expect the 2010s to have some improvements/quirks fixed.

besides, I am still saving up a down payment.

no need to order though. Not like they will sell out.

are we assume there will be 2010 X? that's the chances of Mitsu pull the Evo out of the US market?

Not likely. One reason is as long as Subaru has the WRX program, the Evo and Ralliart will be here to take a piece of the pie. It is what prompted Mitsu to bring the Evo to the states in the first place.

I hope the sunroof is an option and not standard across the board (I am looking at you 135i)

But its all personal preference...
Usually a sunroof necessitates a switch to a steel roof, as opposed to the aluminum roof. This means a lot more weight and a higher center of gravity. I'll take the lighter weight, lower center of gravity, better handling, stiffer chassis.

^Not only that but it can lower the roofline by 2 inches. I cannot sit straight in cars like the is350 due to the damn sunroof.

Canadian EVO X MR's with the premium package come with sunroofs from the factory so it's not a stretch that the 2010 US EVO X could be available with a sunroof.
