Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Top Ten of the World Performance Car of Year
Well, the new GT-R has already won Motortrend and Automobile magazines "Car of the Year" award already, But lately, the ZR1 has been besting the GT-R's performance numbers. And I'm surprised that the new M3 didn't make it to the list since it's the flagship performance car for BMW....And instead the 135i made it (I do like the 135i very much and it deserves the credit, since many people could agree that it's a pocket-sized M3 and is also much easier on the price tag when you compare the M3's performance numbers to the 135i's). At the end, LET THE BEST ALL AROUND PERFORMANCE VEHICLE WIN!!!!
Yea...I think I phrased my sentence pretty badly. I just wanted to point out that Mitsu representative had to make it clear it was the only 4-door C-segment car there, to distinguish it from the 5-door competitor that is also on the list
Well mitsu does not have much money so i think its a legitimate achievement...lol
It is also going to come down to overall value as well which the Chevy has no shot.. the GT-R WILL take first on this list... if not it will certainly be ahead of the ZR-1.
even without the money you are talking about a 4 cyl car that is up against many high end names and performers, AND if that youtube vid of inside line is right then on the skidpad the X's .99g's outperforms the GT-R's .93. I will have to read other reviews of that however.. either there was someone there who didn't want the Nissan to do as well, or they got a lemon lol.
I'd like to see the article where you saw that actually. I think I saw that a stock GT-R ran a 10.8 or something... it might have been here.. but I think the car was stock... either way, please provide the link because it wasn't the nurnberg lap times.

The ZR-1 Is crazy good but so is the GT-R, I would def have the GT-R over the ZR-1 but I still don't think it will win (will come 2nd).

Anyway, I doubt ZR1 will win, American cars are just not as loved as Japanese or European automakers. I think GT-R is a safe winner. If it win no one will complain. This & the fact the Corvette was never available as Right hand drive & not available in many markets.
Someone need to tell Chevy to come out with a Right hand drive corvette.
I am surprise that R8 didn't make the list too. No Ferrari? Thought the new Ferrari Suderi (or whatever its call) is a beast.
The 135 has one of the best power plants on the market right now! Sure its ugly and the M3 looks ten times better but the price tag on the 135 is alot better then the M3. I dont know how they picked that list cause it seems pretty random
ahhh ok, I didn't see this link... that's fair enough... however I didn't realize the ZR-1 had 100 more hp, and was 125,000 grand vs the 75-80,000 for the GT-R. Compare apples to apples and when the Spec-V is out I will be more impressed with the ZR-1... although they are both obviously impressive cars. I still believe the GT-R will be the winner and if not ahead of the ZR-1 for value reasons alone. Besides.. I have seen GT-R 0-60 at 3.4 seconds on some test I read. I'll try to find it a bit later.
