Does anyone notice that The mitsubishi is the only one here with the lowest price tag, and with the advance tranny. If you take out the sti with the manual..

I will have to read other reviews of that however.. either there was someone there who didn't want the Nissan to do as well, or they got a lemon lol.
You are so right but... nissans brand it flying real high in consumers minds now , they have: 350Z , 370Z, G35 sedan and coupe.. mitsue needs great cars in all market segments the EVO alone cant do it for them mainly due to its relationship with the econobox lancer....

Why is the subbie on the list. The 08+ models handles like crap. I though the true definition of Sports for a car is speed and precision not Drag for car which is pure speed and no precision.

The Nissan GT-R won again... of course..... Seems like everyone in the automotive industry is enamored with it....

The X didn't even make it into the top 3

Yeah, well the Porsche 911, ZR1 Vette and Nissan GTR are big league rides. I love my evo for the money, but you can't win against other super cars...especially not when they are also forced induction.

They will specifically rate each vehicle in terms of overall merit, value, safety, environmental responsibility, emotional appeal and significance.

I understand the reasoning for the win going to the GT-R in terms of emotional appeal. However, in terms of value, safety and overall merit Evo should have done much better especially in the top 3!

Evo has value beat on all 3 finalists. Significance, the Evo is sporting a brand new TC-SST, which is comparable to the GT-R's offerings, it has a smaller 2.0-liter engine for "environmental responsibility. In the end it seems like a more complete package to me.

In the end, they did what they always seem to do, go for the big boys in the $100,000.00 range.
