just intalled a prosport boost gauge and idk if it's reading right, cuz when i get close to 7 grand my gauge says it's only boosting 17 and that's in 3rd, But when i have in 5th and i stomp on the gas, it reaches 20 but i haven't red lined in 5th yet so i don't know how far it will go. i read and researched that the evo x's factory set boost is 21psi. but why is my boost gauge telling me different. so if some one could school me a bit on this to help me understand why it's telling me different that would be great. is it the gauge thats reading wrong or is the boost on a evo x not 21. idk... help me out.

 

that is normal i belive... the highter gear the more boost you should make

 

Boost PEAKS at 21, but drops to 16-17 (IIRC) at redline. So what you're seeing is normal.

 

at what gear does it peak? i noticed it only spikes to 21 in 5th and the farthest it goes in third when i hit 7g is 17. idk if it's true but i heard that prosport gauges are not that accurate, is that true?
