boost problem

Hey all. I currently have a TurboXS MBC that came with the car when i bought it. I dont think its doing its part... If i go WOT in 3rd-5th gear the car hits 19 psi and then the needle on my boost gauge vibrates rapidly. I can even hear a slight difference in the turbo... like a ss-ss-ss-ss-ss sound. I also adjust the boost contoller to try to raise the boost to 21 psi like i was flashed for and it wont do it. Thats why i believe its the controller and not the wastegate. I did a search and found people with a similar problem, but not a completely clear answer, but they were leaning torward the MBC. I appricate the help guys and girls!

Whether this problem is the TXS MBC or not, that's one of the worst MBCs you can use on an Evo, so it would be worth it to spend the money on a Forge UNOS or Hallman Pro anyway.

Thats what i keep hearing. I believe it, but im curious as to why. Ive already contacted Ultimate CC and will probably be buying the boost controller from him.

Are you running the 9.8 hotside and the stock plastic DV?

I think that you might benefit from a Forge WGA if you are still on the stock unit. If you have an unported 9.8 housing and the stock WGA you could gain more control over the flapper valve above 19 PSI by going to a HD WGA.
