well, it was that time..

Time to do my 1st oil change. I decided to do mine at 1200miles. 1265 to be exact..

Now I see why its important to have rubber pads on the jacks..

Oil left on the 5th quart. Total amount 4 3/4 quarts..

That is all..

Your using mobil 1 'extended performance', how many miles do you plan to ride before the next change?

I was going to change mine too, and I did a search for some oil filters... they are the same as the VIII's and IX's it says? Funny.

it'd be nice if they have one universal size, and all we have to do is pick the brand

is the extended performance full synthetic? i always had the idea that it was only part synthetic.

It happens to be coincidental. That the jacks and funnel are blue..
That said, yes the Mobil 1 Extended Performance is 100% synthetic. It costs a little bit more than the regular Mobil 1 5w 30 oil. So I figured it must be a bit better to.. I plan on doing future oil changes every 3500-4000 miles, and sticking with OEM oil filters..

there was an accusation some time ago saying that mobil changed their synthetic formula, and after testing it found the synthetic oil was no better than regular oils...or something to that extent. i should go dig for that article again. but i've been using valvoline full syn on all my cars since then...maybe i'll switch to royal purple just for the evo.

you do know that there's a label on the engine bay that says full synthetic only, right?
