Looking back, should you have bought a RA instead?

Road and Track did a comparison not too long ago between the Ralliart, Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo, Subaru WRX and Mazdaspeed 3. The Ralliart was the heaviest and most expensive of the group, and was last place in the performance tests. That should answer your question.

I wouldn't buy a RA, but damn mitsu give the evo a pass through or something! I had the same beef with my RS and almost bought an Sti this time for that reason. Then I came to my senses.
Hmmm... not to thread jack, but I wonder how similar this is to an Evo rear seat... I've been thinking about making my own pass through so I can carry 4 ppl + skis.

This is really a dumb question to ask...especially on the Evo X board. I'm not sure what you expect to hear? The X is obviously better. The cars market to different people. There's not going to be anyone who says they wished they would have gotten the RA instead of the X, but there will be some people who say they wish they would have gotten the X instead of the RA (excluding me). I enjoy the SST very much, and the low-end torque is great for driving around town. I don't go to the track, so what's the point of me spending the extra money for the X?
No, a lot of people were telling me to get the RA and that the Evo was overkill, but i test drove the RA, it just didn't have the same feeling or kick as the Evo. It felt like any other 4 door sedan to me.
