Hi guys,
I'm from Italy and tomorrow I'll get my new Lancer EVO X; it's a US model, so I want to ask you how I can do to get theese ECU updates. Is it possible to subscribe to the US dealer network and download the updates?

I've tried the car and it seems very very rich, so rich that sometimes seems to make some misfires in WOT! Do you think there's some way to solve this? The driveability especially at high rpms really sucks!

@ jve153: on next days can I give you my VIN so you can check if I need some updates or not?

Thank you guys, I really appreciate your help because from here it's very difficult to get the updates (Mitsubishi dealers have only the european version of updates, etc.)

Bye!

I FORGOT: I work in a company that produces gas systems for vehicles (I make gas ECU calibration); we produce lot of OEM application, for example also for Mitsubishi Italy so we have the Mitsubishi diagnostic tool (MUT-III) and all the updates for the european model... so I need only the cd or the update for the US model: can you help me?

Thank you

Got the info in the mail today about the cable. Guess I will have them fix the cable and the rattle in the shifter at the same time

I too got something in the mail for the hood latch. Glad mitsu is taking the action to get things fix. Question is, my car is modded so would that affect the recall? Can they red flag my car for future repairs?

^ Did you check what ROM ID you have? I'm not sure if they put that info on the service sticker under the hood... but if you got a friend who has a tactrix cable and a laptop, he can check the ROM ID for you... latest one that is suppose to fix the idle issue is 80020. Alternatively, you can just have your car tuned and the idling issue will go away... have you checked your fuel pressure regular hose? There's a couple of threads about it... that affects your idle too.

Having the dealer reflash it 3x won't help if they put in an older ROM.. or if they did the latest one and it still doesn't get fixed, then it's caused by something else.
