n00b question: aftermarket battery for Evo X MR???
The panasonic POS must go....what are replacement options? Dealership tech said the battery needs a breather hose since it's in the trunk, not sure if that's BS or ?
I was told AMS makes a kit, but I don't see anything on their website specifically for the Evo X MR.
TIA

East Penn is the manufacturer of both Deka and Brallie batteries.
The Deka ETX14 is the same as the Braille, 11.5 lbs for both, with same cold cranking amps.
I prefer the larger ETX20L up here in New England because it lasts longer and starts better in the cold than the smaller Brallie (a.k.a. ETX14L)...as a matter of fact, my old Deka ETX20L was still going strong after two full years in my 07 WRX...right up to the day I traded it for my Evo X end of Jan 09. It also lasted longer than my old Odyssey PC680MJ, which after only one year in my weekend driver mach 1, it heat-soaked on me one summer day coming back from the track .
I plan to install a ETX20L in my new Evo X very soon. Between my Perrin cat-back exhaust and this battery, I will have shaved about 30 lbs off the car.
