Flame suit on.. i swear i did a search and nothing came back that helped..

If i run my car hard particular in 4th and 5th gear and my AC is on.. the car's inside is engulfed with a pungent smell of like .. i dont know what.. does not smell like oil though..

got the car tuned by AMS two months ago for 90 oct tune and i am pretty sure Chris left the car pretty rich on top the rpm range for safety reasons. Do you think its the rich AFR causing this because i do recall it happening with the stock tune??

 

Running "Rich" will smell like Gas, If it smells like sulfur, you might have shat yourself, otherwise, a musty smell could be from the AC condensor-evap tank, if your in the boost, and high load, maybe clutch wearing out...

 

I think I know what you're talking about.

I don't drive hard, and hardly ever over 80MPH.

But when I do, I get a very distinct smell.

Do you know what burning clutch smells like? The only word I can use to describe it is 'pungent'. Makes me think your clutch is slipping.

 

or if it kinda smells like rotten eggs it could be the cat.

flux capacitor... or the clutch... thats what's goin on with mine too.

 

Could be the clutch or brake pads if your braking after hard acceleration, it could also be the cats or a myriad of other things! If it was the clutch slipping I think he would notice??? If it is the clutch the smell is similar to a rotting corpse lol, I've heard horror stories about burnt clutches!
