Front spoiler lip

I'm not exactly sure how it happened but I seem to have torn a corner of the rubber lip loose from my front spoiler. I'm missing at least one fastener and my Mitsubishi dealer doesn't even show them on his parts diagrams. The ones he shows in his parts list are not correct. Mine are a screw lock fastener with a square metal top to spread the pressure out on the soft rubber lip.

I was hoping that some of you may have had this problem and know what i need for fasteners. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

A lot of us have had this problem, including myself.

Eventually you'll just have to take the rubber piece off...as most of us do.

OR get a lip repair kit which someone sells here and I can't seem to find.

I think this is what you're looking for. I have the same problem so I just ended up ordering a new CF V-Style lip from rexspeed instead of spending money on repairing it. It was just an excuse for me to get a new lip

Qu3Xu5 where did you order your CF V-Style lip from Rexspeed? I took my rubber lip off months ago because it kept falling down. This might be the solution!

Through a vendor right here in the forums. Lots of cool stuff to choose from.

Can't wait to receive it. Also ordered the Aero Kit CF side spats to give some more CF accent to the car.

Thanks! I am not sure the V-Style will work unless it replaces the entire aero front lip. Maybe I should be looking for a thin peice of carbin to replace the rubber lip only on the aero portion.

I know what you are talking about. I can mail you some of those fasteners from the damaged front Air Dam I have in my garage. I only have some left.

Not only is my rubber lip torn off, my front lip is cracked in several places. I'm not even lowered and I've hit this thing so many times on regular roads.

Between the lip and the shoddy side skirts, I'm really regretting the aero kit. It's one big piece of garbage.

Hey CatalystGod,

I have a question for you. How did you get your stock aero kit off? Did you heat up the double sided tape on the kit to get it to come off easily? I was trying to get mine off this past weekend and I couldn't get the double sided tape to budge.

front lip

I know it sounds shoddy but, I fixed this problem on mine with double sided molding tape (3M) and some cable tyes (black). You cannot tell that it was ever even rubbed.

I think there ought to be an ordinance about how steep you can have a drive way, dang it!
