Thinking of selling my WW EVO X - GSR with Navigation w/Cusco coil-overs, 18"x 9.5 +12 WORK Emotions. The car has 5900 miles on it. I also added ralliart pedals
Given the current state of the car market, and all the deals floating around, what do you think it's worth?
Thanks for any input, as I'm new to the EVO community and not sure how well they hold their value....I know there are a lot of 2008 EVO X's at the dealerships, but not many WW and with Navi, Cusco's and WORK wheels

You may actually do better if you but the car back to stock. Modded cars tend to worry buyers about warrenty, if the mods were done correctly.... I think a lot of people part out the mode anyway as they usually get more money that way. If you decide to sell your coilovers pm me.
It's not worth nearly what you paid for it I can guarantee that for certain. I just got my car for 29k OTD so I would imagine a WW GSR Base + Navi would be worth somewhere in the ballpark of 21-22k to a dealer and no more than 25k in a private sale. Your mods are worthless in all honesty.
The problem with selling an Evo used is the incentives they have on the front end. With 0%, the money factor on the interest difference is like $6500! Add that in with something like South Coast pricing at $31,500, and at least another 5k for depreciation, you're looking at selling for $21k-$22k just to get it moved.
Best bet would be to keep or sell mods outright and trade car in stock. You might only get $20k, but you won't pay tax on the difference of your trade in. The market is going to need to rebound or stock is going to have to deplete at dealers to zero for the used car price to come back up on there.
Good luck.

Ouch..."mods worthless" is not good. I was figuring $27K with WORK wheels and coil-overs. Looks like I'll be driving it a bit longer. I want the e92 M3 in White. Prices have come down to the high 40's, so it's tempting.
Thanks for the input. The EVO X is an amazing car and it's been fun owning one!

If "OC" means the OP is in orange county Calif, then your tax argument does not apply- you'll pay the full sales tax. This state seems hell bent on imploding it's businesses with all the current and new taxes. BTW sales tax goes up April 1st to around 9 percent depending on the county. I wouldn't buy anything over 2 or three grand until they repeal these emergency budget taxes.

You're right, the dealers won't care and won't give the proper amount. As far as the mods being "worthless" that is also correct in the context of keeping them on the car. As others have said, you would be better off taking things back to stock and parting out the mods. The mods will not be worthless that route and in fact it already sounds like you have an interested party in the coilovers.

I bought a couple Evos from South Coast, and they collected tax on the second one because I drove it out. But Tennessee did not collect, they just go after it with California.
But there is a fed deal with tax credit on new car purchases, so that could help, albeit not until next year.
