From: Tx,
weird reverse gear.

I was doing a 3 point turn and put my gear in reverse and suddenly the car is not going/moving it's like in neutral, im sure it's in reverse or R, i did it twice and it's the same, for the 3rd time it's already ok, i noticed that when that happens the lights or r is flashing on the gear shifter. it's suppose not to blink. the did not over heat because i just drove for 5min. any MR owner with similar issue. t.y. the car runs fine right now. but im just paranoid.

Another thing do we have an intercooler sprayer like in subaru. i notice it 2x today that there is a mist in my windshiel it's like i use the windshiel washer but it's obnly a mist. it happens twice today. it's not cloudy or raining. but the wind is strong blowing against me.

The blinking "R" indicates that the shift into reverse was not completed because of a lockout. Shift it back to "P" or "N" for a few seconds, and then back to "R". I've only seen it once in my car; I suspect that hitting the accelerator too soon after moving it from "P" to "R" was the culprit in my case.

I have a similar issue in my GSR. When selecting reverse after driving for some distance, the car behaves like it's in neutral. Only after I put it in neutral, engage the clutch, then reselect reverse will it actually start moving. Happens what feels like at random.

I posted a thread about this issue in my GSR already. Only 6k miles, I'm going to try changing the tranny fluid to see if this fixes the issue.
