that goes around the entire side skirt right? is there one that only overlays the top area? i know i could use that, but it just seems to be a huge pain to do a piece like that.

Yeah, I just had my both my side skirts sprayed with a clear-bra protection right after I bought my X...and you can't even tell it's there. Great for those nasty winters in South Dakota

very easy to do. just buy a roll of 3M clear protection film and cut to specs. especially easy if you covering partially. just clean up the area where you're installing the film real good. rest is a piece of cake.

What made me even more angry was that he took his EVO to a car wash. I've been driving for 20 years and I've yet to take a car to a car wash. Guess I'm different.

I'd rather have the Aero-kit than chipped paint.

Who in thier right mind would step on a shiny painted surface? And those are the folks that you trust to clean your car?

Exactly. I'd be pissed. Most of my friends drive cars that are nice and "modded" as well, so they're smarter than that. I don't trust taking my car to places where goons would touch it for any reason without me being able to see it. Even if I go to an oil change place I'll watch them do it (I haven't had the X long enough to change the oil but I do it with all my cars).

I had a friend once who went to one of those quick lube places with a JDM B18C swapped Civic hatchback. I'm not sure how much the JDM R motors are now, but they were $5500 + shipping at the time. They changed his oil, he paid for full synthetic and everything, and they forgot to torque the oil drain bolt back down before telling him the car was done.

He's doing 80 down the expressway and the oil light comes on and he instantly shuts the car off and goes to the side of the road... freaks out, gets out and looks under his car and the whole underbody is covered with oil. Oil on hot exhaust = smoke, so he (not knowing better - we did his swap for him) thinks he blew his motor and starts freaking out.

We had to go get him. When we convinced him that it was fine because he was smart enough to shut it off right away he calmed down. We got it back, filled it up, and the car was fine after that for the longest time (unfortunately he wasn't beacuse he was killed by a piece of **** drunk driver ).

Ever since then I won't let anybody touch my **** without watching them like a hawk. I pay too much for cars to go through that BS.

What I don't understand is why anyone would treat a sports sedan like an SUV

Man, I'm with you! I took my boss for a ride in my car. He used the side skirt to knock the dirt off his shoes. I guess he thought he was keeping the dirt off of the carpet cause the car was new. I heard the same thump. Now, I tell everyone , everytime, to watch the side skirt as they get in the car. I am certain my wife and kids are tired of hearing it. Most of the time, my kids say "I know...watch the side skirt" before I even say it. My tip: don't unlock the car until you point to the skirt and say "please be careful getting in and out"!
