i went to pick up a co-worker of mine the other day, and as he got in, i heard a loud THUMP...wondering what it was. then, when it happened again as he got out, i started wondering what's going on. then i saw his shoe's skidmark on my side skirt. that's when i realize, the side skirt is actually kind of wide for others to get in and out, especially with the bucket seat. does anyone have tips against situations like this, short of telling the passengers to be careful or gtfo?

Same haha. People are like uhh why? Apparently they think its a step. I even tell them to read the sticker that says do not step on side spoiler. All of my friends and g/f as well as family know by now, but co-workers seem to just not care.

I even make my g/f put her purse in the back seat so she doesn't scratch the dash haha.

Went to the car wash the other day and while the carwash people were cleaning it they decided to use the skirt as a step. You can guess what happened next!!!

Thats why I avoided the crappy aero package, too bulky. No offense to those that bought it...Everyone has different taste.

Some people's carelessness never ceases to amaze me. Tell them to walk our respect your ride.

I was dreading seeing a reply like this - that's the reason why I don't ever take my X to a car wash! It's a pleasure to spend 1 hour on the driveway with the evo and washing supplies anyway.

easy fix. 3M clear protection for the side skirts. I did this the 2nd day of owning the car. I put the protection film around the high traffic areas for the front and rear doors. And as always I always ask my passengers to be careful when they get in and out.
