Rubber strip at the bottom of the Aero-kit is falling off!!

lol your story sounds just like my visit to the dealer last friday. same exact thing happened to me. i just took it off, got tired of dealing with it.

I have been thinking about possibly taking that rubber strip off but I dont know how it would look. Can any of you who have removed it post some pictures of what it looks like?

The four bolts that hold the lip to the car show when you remove the rubber lip. However this is easily fixed.

After removing the rubber lip, I painted my bolts flat black with a little tube of touch-up paint. I think the car looks better w/o the lip now, and I have an extra inch of clearance.

Anyways, here's what it looks like now (warning, crappy iPhone pics):

this is the exact reason why I didn't waste the money on the aero kit. Yep, it looks nice, but I read sooooo many people's posts about the side skirts falling off and having other issues. I actually like not having the aero kit better now... I just like the look more... plus IF you are a weight freak with your car, it's that much less.

i had the same problem.

i wound up just gluing the strip using marine epoxy. now, the front end will rip off before the strip does.
