Man that 2010 MR looks nice with the leather interior and lip spoiler. Too bad those are not options on the GSR as that is the only model I would ever have any hopes of getting with big rebates and a good trade-in. Pushing 40k is just a bit much for a compact sedan even with all the technology, awd and the engine. Heck the wrx is just about as fast and you can get the heated mirrors and cold weather pack for about 10k less.

Rain Sensing window wipers, heated mirrors, auto on off lamps? Really mitsubshi.... Really?? If this is the direction the evo is evolving then 06 or 08 it is!

yeah seriously they're turning the evo into a luxury car. screw that. they should atleast sell the RS in america for those of us who don't want the extra weight or would like some motorsport, c'mon. i'm goin for a 2010 either way, but seriously? no RS? i'd order one of them in a heartbeat. but i guess it looks like GSR for me... i'm still excited, but an RS would be better.

 

Mitsu is probably one of the only car companies that does not truly have a luxury car.

 

Those things were luxury items back in 02, now even Toyota's come with those basic things.

Anyone paying $30-40k for a car that doesn't get at least newer standard technology is a dummy. Techonology always starts out in the luxo cars and trickles down to the rest of the world. If you guys want some stripped down go kart buy an RS.

 

i just dont understand why mitsu wont offer some sort of "cold weather package" that way folks in the south could be happy not paying for extra features that us up north would like to have: heated mirrors, heated seats, headlight washers, heated wiper area on windshield (like subaru does), etc..

New color for 2010 to the GSR line is Rotor Glow Orange
Base model will include:
- Bluetooth
- Color LCD information display
- Short antenna
- Covered cupholder
- Leather parking brake handle
- Chrome HVAC controls
- Black taillight housing

2010 Sight/Sound/Spoiler package does not change except for upgrade of Rockford Fosgate to 710 Watts.

The 2010 Lancer Evolution X MR will also have two lines. Base & Touring.
The Base MR will now include the following:
- Rockford Fosgate 710 Watt Sound System.
- Center console upgrade.

The Touring package for the MR will have:
- Front lip spoiler
- Sunroof
- Full leather
- Heated seats/mirrors
- Auto headlights/wiper sensor
- Noise dampening increase

 

see, so for the people complaining, only the MR seems to come with that extra stuff. man, i wonder what MR's will cost now

 

UK Xs always had these as standard

 

I spent the last 3 years in the UK... Norfolk... yeah. Anyway, ALL the cars over there are made to a higher standard than here. Even the Fords are made with quality materials.... Just something I was constantly pissed about while I was there. That, and they got all the JDM cars shipped in after they reached their mileage limit in Japan. So, yes, I may not have liked the standard of living out there, but the quality of cars were VERY noticeable.

As far as I'm concerned, with all the "problems" arising with the transmission, paint, and overall build quality of the X's, you'd think they would address those before adding more electronic luxuries... and more weight. i for one enjoy my X, but I can see how this is going to turn out...

Remember when the Skylines were raw, semi-affordable serious tuner cars? And when it finally comes to the states, its a rich man's supercar?? WTF?!
They know that only the rich are spending money in this recession, so that's who they'll tailor their mods to. My .02...
