when are the 2010 EVO X available?
If the 2010 X is coming what the hell are all those dealers going to do with all those left over '08s? I did a search on Autotrader and there were over 8 pages of '08s for sale and most of them are from dealers and are brand new... over a year and a half has passed and they still haven't sold the '08s. Mitsu is going to have a hard time selling the '10s if they still have a two year old models still on dealer lots. Maybe they will liquidate them just to get them out on the streets and make way for new inventory... who knows. I have been seeing some great deals out there but even with the deals going on they are still sitting and they only have two months to move the rest out which haven't sold in almost two years, WTF! I hope to god something happens soon or the EVO's future is in trouble.

But I agree with you, there's gonna be a serious liquidation effort here soon.
i think that mitsu has already been liquidating the 08 Xs over last 2 months. with prices of upt to 7-8K off MSRP.
mitsu is retarded. the MR is supposed to be the Mitsubishi RACING edition. not the Fat Lazy American edition. everything else in mitsu's lineup sucks ***, so instead of improving the crappy models aimed at the general public, they're going to ruin the EVO and try to make it appeal to people that never would have, and still won't own one now. and in the process, they're pissing off all the people that loved the car in the first place.
it's not that i'm against luxury and technology, but if you're going to add all that crap, you better give it enough power to haul around all the fat. it's a performance car FIRST. they need to remember that. if they want to add all that crap, fine. make the car standard with 400hp. then everybody's happy. not like they couldn't do it.

I don't think they should sell a 2010 in the US Mitsubishi lost alot of money on the 08's. The GSR fully loaded was $42K when they first hit the US in March and in December people were buying them for $34K. That's a $8K dollar loss on each car. With the parts they use, and the fact that they aren't Mitsu made they don't make a ton of money in the first place. The fact that they are taking a hit like this WILL effect the EVO's Future.
The whole motivation behind all of the accessories is trying to expand the market beyond tuners. If they don't add this Crap people will buy the cars that do have it and Mitsu will lose even more. The Evo's Future is on a strange path.
If Mitsu approaches their current situation logically (and they most likely will), I'm almost sure they WILL only make a limited number of 2010 USDM Evos... maybe less than half in units compared to the number of 2008s that were imported. You have to remember that when they manufactured & started importing the 2008s, that was before the economy started spiraling down. That's the main reason why they are losing so much money on the Evo Xs. They can't afford to lose that much anymore. If the economy doesn't improve, they probably won't even import 2011 USDMs at all.

You meant Mitsubishi Rally edition. I agree with the 400 hp!!

they'll roll out the second series of this chassis maybe! and then no one will be buying the cars they will be so adulterer by lux n tech that the cars will just be a confusion rolling on 4 tires.

if they stop importing them our cars will go up in value. I'm keeping all the service records for my newly purchased X and will be putting low miles on it and not modifying it. Maybe I could get 20k for it when I sell in 4-5 years.
I don't think I'll be selling mine, maybe in a decade or so. I've owned or driven a LOT of cars before and nothing compares to the evo... it sure will be a keeper for me. Will have it converted to E85 once the world starts running out of oil (which they say will happen in the next couple of decades) Go go E85 army!
If they gave cars here the stuff they have in Europe they would sell better. Hell even raise the price a little. People want a car that will last, no one they will be replacing right after their loan is up.
whatever its just a gimmick unless its got all kinds of engine read outs like boost, voltage, G forces, etc.. if its just a color version of what we have now i could care less. Either way the 2010s will be priced a few hundred higher then the 08s and certainly wont have up to 5k in rebate incentives and 0% financing.
i said to myself if i dont buy an evo with these kind of deals right now, i wont be able to get one new for that price for at least 1.5 years if ever again.
