I rather enjoy the quite flashers and the 3 flash option. It is less annoying than other cars.

If you tap it, it only signals three times?

Look into the GPS system go into system functions and eventually you will see that option. You can change it to 'one flash' or '3 flash' Mitsu is catching up to the luxury line lol.

I don't know if the GSR flashers work the same way as the MRs - but my MR doesn't have navi, and I use the 3 flash option all the time.

It's a matter of how gentle you tap it. Just sit in your car before you drive it, and try tap it down/ up gently and quickly without going so far as to getting the lever locked in position. Don't tap and hold it down too long (before it gets locked) either, or you only get 1 flash.

Yup GSRs have it as well. Found it by accident myself LOL. Great feature though. A 1 second tap is all that is necessary.

Is there anyway to make the signal louder in the car? I can only hear mine if there's no music on and even then it's still quiet.
+1 to all of the above. I've looked in the Service Manual for a way to turn up the volume on the turn signals and no dice.

No, you don't need the Navi to use the tap-on on blinker or whatever it's called. And if yours doesn't work, the dealer can turn it on for you.

Tap Indicator

Hello all,

Anyone know how to turn the tap (3 flash) function on?
I had it before, but now, it doesn't work anymore.
Someone here mentioned it is turned on/off from the MMCS? Can someone provide a step by step?

Thanks.

Yup gsr's have the tap for 3 flashes and so do the lancer gts's. Just curious do all evos make that 2 tone beep for the turn signal or do some click? I couldn't imagine not hearing the beeping.

no one has mentioned that there are two different sound options for the blinkers? its like one of the 6 options you have in the settings. one sounds is quite faint, the other is a VW type sound thats a little louder and slightly more annoying but i use it because i can hear it over any music.

and also, the half press (similar to a shutter button on a camera) is common on most cars for 3 blink lane changes..
