So, 403bhp. What does that translate to in whp? About 350?

Anyone know where I can get a similar looking shift knob in the US? Preferably from a vendor. Thanks.

A stock evo with 295 hp dynos on something like buchurs mustang Dyno at 220ish whp I believe. Then 230-240, whp on a Dynojet. I would say with 403hp. Would put it at 330ish whp. Which is just a few boltons and a tune for the new X.
But instead the fq has a big laggy turbo. I'm guessing like the one in the past. Which is why we need bushur to keep making the br series LOL or AMS to join with a dealership and realease a model that spanks the fq... I'm not saying I don't like the fq models. I just don't like the excess engine mods to make unsubstantial power. O and the cost. What does an fq-360 or 400 cost compared to a GTR that would kill either of them in just about every aspect?

It's cool that they are making an FQ-400 version but....

Aren't people already able to do basic intake/exhaust bolt-ons, boost controller, and a tune to get 400 WHP with a standard GSR?

I might be missing something but I don't see any reason to "cry" over not getting the FQ-400 in the US when you can make your own base X do the same thing for way cheaper.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually there are different clutch packs available now. $1200 bucks which isn't too bad, not sure what the install costs I'd guess at least 800-1k More. Then the company wants you to upgrade your tranny cooler to a large rear mounted one. For 2k. ouch.

But they have aparently modified some gtr trannies sucessfully.

You get a warranty, and not every evo buyer wants to be a tuner.

Also the FQ solves some other problems. To get that type of power with just bolt ons your car is loud. The FQ is a civil daily driver with 100HP more than stock.

+1
Mitsubishi is a corporation, their vehicles must be sustainable, profitable and offer a very low degree of risk. Enthusiasts, on the other hand, can sacrifice reliability and driveability to get to their goals.

That said, this is an amazing vehicle! And props to Mitsu for building it!

this is the most beautiful car I have ever seen. I already said on another post that BEAST will be faster than the GTR on the nurburgring . maybe not faster but it look a lot better to me.

by the way the hood look like the pontiac g8 hood.

im thinking the FQ-400 if around 50 grand (from the top gear show anyways) and the GTR is up over 80 grand

and a side not... its gonna be a hell of a lot cheaper to maintain the FQ

I'm pretty sure that Top Gear ran the FQ360 (5M) head to head with the STI, but for the Stig's lap, it was the SST FQ300....
