FQ-400 Evo X [Merged]
It's a nice car and all but it's definitely not worth that money. This car should be priced at about $50,000. I don't know what Mitsubishi is thinking when they price these FQ models. Do they price 'em by Horsepower or something? It's insane, especially when you note that your getting almost the same interior as a $14K Lancer other than some nicer seats, steering wheel, & some extra alcantara on the doors.
As far as all the performance upgrades over a regular GSR, does it really justify the $50,000 difference in price? Talk about markup! LoL.
I see why Mitsu is only selling these in the UK. With so many pubs around, they are bound to find the right customer willing to shell out the dough for this.

I'm not going to bother quoting all of the comments about price, but the base model is about $50k US, because of the taxes. They have to pay for free health care and government hand outs some how. The more power the more the taxes. IN the US Mitsu could sell the same car for $40-50k Generally UK pricing is 1 to 1 pound to the dollar because of taxes.
Hot car. People are talking about they'd go GTR, but I don't know where you could find a GTR for 78K. NOWHERE. I talked to a guy a few months back who got a GTR for 95K-98K...and he was bragging that he got the hook up because another guy who got one from the same dealership paid 110K. If you look at it like that, the FQ is a bargain.
Some people aren't tuners, and don't want to pay after they get their car to make it faster I guess. Buy it fast out of the box and be done with it.

The car, IMO, is over priced. However there is absolutely no doubts that all FQ-400's will be easily easily sold....GTR was once at $82000 CND, now it's over $100,000 CND, they increased their price over time, and there is still a PREM. on it..

the thing is yes this is a stokc car.....you could tune that beast and get to probably easily 500 and maybe more. but they are wrong in that article.
0-62mph in 3,8sec is a mistake.....they claim it will be faster than the old fq-400.....the old one was 3,5sec.....they say this one will do.......3,2 or 3,3. thanks to the upgraded traction control.
they also said......ELECTRONICALY LIMITED TO 155MPH.......come on.....I never saw a mitsubishi limited.....the old FQ400 was doing 175 mph.......I dont think they will stop it at 155....come on thats stupid.
THATS A BEAST......I said that this car could beat the GTR on the nurburgring, until I have the proof of something else I will keep it in mind. 90hp less.........but much more traction and they didint say the weight of that FQ400 that should be around 1450kilo.....the GTR 1800 KILO.

That article is off, like you said Clarkson had the old fq400 buzzing around the track at 170 mph, I strongly disagree with the 0-60 as well, I honestly and truthfully believe this car will crush the GTR.

you can't compare European prices with American. I live in Europe and I have 2008 MR and I payed for it in September 47000 EURO(in September exchange rate was more then 1.50 USD=1 EURO, so the price for my car was 70000 USD) and GTR costs more then 80000 EURO in Europe it makes it more then 120000 USD. So getting FQ400 for 80000 USD is a bargain it is 40k cheaper.. in America FQ400 would have costed may 50k or a bit more. So don't complain you are lucky.
