X smoother after 1st oil change

I brought my x in for my first oil change (and hood cable recall) at 3900 miles. i noticed instantly when i drove it off the lot that the car drove much smoother - clutch wise. The car used to jerk a little while shifting but now it drives so smooth its crazy. before i would feel all the shifts but now its so smooth i can't feel the shift at all.

does the dealership do any tweaks or fluid changes with a 1st time oil change? I'm assuming an oil change has nothing to do with my new found smoothness...

Your the one that thinks that your car drives better after an oil change. Figured I'd fill you full of other nonsense that you'd believe to be true.

what are you talking about? the post clearly states that I didn't think it was the oil change and whether they do anything else w/ the periodic inspection...either way the cars driving like a champ....learn 2 read

Ok the new hood cable is what is making your car run better.

I assume they topped off your wiper fluid too. I'm sure that helps as well.

I can *always* tell after an oil change has been done. But it doesn't make the tranny smoother.

OP, you've got the wrong attitude... and you all need to learn the difference between "your" and "you're"

The orignal oil has alot of crap in it but it would definitely not make it do that. I can tell after oil changes too.

Wow, changing your oil made your car shift better? I never thought engine oil could do this.

Maybe they accidentally replaced your transmission fluid instead.

Maybe they accidentally gave you back someone elses car. Open the glove compartment and check the registration.

That's what I was thinking. If the clutch feels "smoother" then they might have driven the car hard and now the clutch isn't gripping the way it's supposed to. You should feel that little jerk when the clutch engages. How many miles did they add to the car?

I let my brother and his wife borrow my evo for 3 weeks while I was in Australia. I'm sure they flogged it, but it did shift better afterward. Probably the oil change monkeys rode your junk hard and put it away wet.
