Driving Shoes I Can Wear to Work?
Driving Shoes I Can Wear to Work?
Anyone want to recommend a business casual shoe that has good pedal feel for driving a manual transmission evo to and from work?
I'd like something brown thats easy to slip on and will allow me to have good feel of the pedals so I can easily modulate the gas and clutch.

Yes you can do it in any other shoe, but you develop bad habbits / muscle memory if you wear thick sole shoes 99% of the time then switch to driving shoe's for track days etc.
^ sitting in traffic u need to modulate the pedals just right and I find that my work shoes have too stiff of a sole and its a little frustrating when I want to shift just right to make sure I can get maximum life out of my clutch
I've only had Piloti's and OMP's for driving. I use a few different Piloti's for casual driving and my regular outings and for cruises. But for the track I use My OMP's.
Comfort is the big thing with me since I don't have cruise control in my RS, I love the Piloti heel! It's the only one like it, it just rolls like a fat ball point pen.
Proper support for when your on the track is also a good thing for when your stabbing all three pedals especially the one in the middle...
Feel, well wearing driving shoes instead of your addidas or chucks, is like not having to wear a rubber... It just feels better.
Technology, In the heat of competition. In a race boot or shoe they will offer the latest technology in organic and synthetic matrerials to work together. Wicking away moisture, surfaced for heel/toe, fire retardent... so on
To answer your question in short, which was... in paraphrase " Are race shoes worth it? and who needs them?" Yes they are deffinatley worth it and there not just fun they are effective.

I just wear my Isotoners while driving to and from home. I have to wear heavy combat boots with my uniform and they throw my driving off everytime. Regular tennis shoes are no problem either.
