On the rare days when I have to attend a meeting, I wear shoes similar to the above. They're made by Timberland and they're very comfortable with a good feel for the pedals. I'm very sensitive to pedal feel and normally wear sneaker-like canvas boat shoes like these, or canvas Converse:

+1 on pilotis. I picked up a pair on sale for 40$ and I think there some of the most comfortable shoes i've ever owned. There the prototipo. They also have nomex lining making them flame resistant. So if my car ever catches on fire my feet are good to go.

I just wear these. The heel toe action is insane, plus I can wear them at work while I'm slappin' my hoes.
