launching caused issue?

i stoped, turned off the ASC completely (held it down for 5 sec or so) put it in first, floored it and when i felt the car slowly roll i let out the clutch. as soon as i took off the car bogs and the service engine light came on. I had very little power in the low rpms, i didnt exceed 2500 on my way home luckly i was down the street. So when i was parking I had to give it a lot more gas in order to get the car moving. I turned it off, about 5min later i turn it back on and i go around the block and everything seems fine. but the service engine is still on WTF did i do to my baby I have no idea what just happend HELP!!

LOL that's what happens when you abuse your "baby"... can't blame Mitsu for their supposedly "****%y warranty".

Hmm, might be something with the turbo if you feel as though you lost compression, possible blew the hose off the inter-cooler??? IDK, best of luck???

that happened to me when i first got the car and i was trying to launch it like a moron. didn't even care to fully turn ASC off. i'm not sure what it is, but all you need to do is turn off the car, wait a bit, and start it again. my car threw no code, though. only thing i can imagine, with a sudden stall, is not enough combustion happening, so you have gas sitting in the cylinders, drowning it, and so it's not running efficiently.

on my old supercharged car, the original tune caused cylinder wash, and it had similar symptoms. that's where i base my guess from. if you want to fetch the code and you don't have a code reader, let me know. i have a code reader handy.

i also just bought a box of 100 pine wood boards for palm strength practices. you're welcome to break a few on your visit

yea a little too far, well this "boost taper" I didn't have it before.

I'm tuned w/ cams and other bolt ons 350whp & 350wtq and i could feel the pull all they way to Red Line even in 5th gear. Now its kinda weak up top.

Damn!

Hey you think i also f**K up my clutch? i drove 15freewaymiles today and when i parked i could smell burned clutch from the vents not strong but it was their.

you should get a boost gauge. "feel" is relative to the person and is far from accurate. unless you have a bigger aftermarket turbo, taper is always there no matter the mods, it's a limit of the stock turbo. you can minimize the taper, but it still exists.

if you burnt your clutch, the smell will linger for a few days. keep the a/c running and eventually the smell will exhaust itself and goes away. you might have shortened the life of your clutch, but i doubt it's gone from one launch.
