Rear diffuser discoloring from exhaust tips heat

Does anyone else has this issue with their aftermarket exhaust systems?

I have the Ultimate Racing TBE and noticed that the way the exhaust tips are situated to the rear bumper diffuser the rear diffuser become discolored from the exhaust heat.

The tips do fit a little close to the diffuser like on the Ultimate Racing website, but some other exhausts on the Evo X seem to have similar fit.

I have thought of getting some exhaust shields as I can see if the exhaust gets the diffuser hot enough it probably will melt it to some extent.

I'm not a fan of the carbon fiber exhaust shields. The stainless ones would probably work better but are a little expensive. I would probably ceramic coat them to match the diffuser as much as possible so they don't stand out.

Hmm, i've ran the UR TBE for many many miles, tuned and untuned. Nothing wrong with my diffuser!

if you install stainless exhaust heat shield it will double the heat on youre diffuser, because it's made out of steel. carbon fiber is much better.

right. if your goal is to get the heat away, then painting the carbon fiber ones will be the better answer.

although i haven't heard of the diffuser discoloring from heat...wouldn't the plastic diffuser simply melt?
