Special Transmission in Nurburgring 24 EVO X

I recently saw that an EVO X was entered in the 2009 Nurburgring 24 hour race and that it was sponsored by Getrag, a transmission company. I sent an inquiry about the transmission to Getrag as the information available is very vague. At this point it might be anything from a completely new transmission to a software change.

I just got a reply from Getrag that they are under contract with Mitsubishi to not release that information. What do you guys think it is all about?

I'd say a new transfer case or software update??? Exciting nonetheless.

Surprised that you don't know Getrag designed the X Transmission.

They did. And that's why they aren't serviceable for the first year. The information is kept under wraps to fulfill Mitsubishi's contract with Getrag.

Getrag built the TC-SST; this might just be the upgrade they're talking about that's suppose to have less torque limitation

Falken is a race sponsor and at most races the teams must also adhere sponsor stickers regardless to their own tire choice.

Not necessarily , the one that ran in 24 hr Brit car at silverstone was supposedly pretty close to a stock car (at least engine) from what I recall. It was pretty impressive it even finished that race.

According to a post about this transmission on another site the only modifications were additional cooling, different gear ratios and shift points. The drivers used full auto mode and not the paddles.
