i'm getting 430 km (which is 250-260 miles) with 45 litres(12 gal) .

once I drove on highway cruised at 50 mph, the gas mileage meter showed 8.2 l/100km,which is almost 29 mpg . LOL.

switch the LCD to show you how many miles per gallon you're currently getting, and after about a week or so you should know how to drive it without consuming a lot. and its not always necessarily true that if you stay out of high rpm you will save gas. cause when im on the highway i stay at 4000rpm, sometimes a little more. the main thing that matters when highway driving is to keep the gas pedal where its at, as long as you keep it constant, no increases or decreases, you should get around 25mpg. i went down the shore this past weekend (im from jersey) and i averaged 32mpg on the trip there and back.

What mods do you have because I find it extremely hard to believe that you were averaging 32mpg for an entire trip. I daily drive my car and even when I keep the speed constant around 65-70mph, the best I've hit is 24.5ish.

I averaged 14 mpg today. I have so much fun. I fill up immediately when the gas indicator goes off, and it only costs $32. My tank lasts me between 5-7 days.

the best advise on gas saving you'll ever get in this forum is:

swear to god, next time take a dts trip ill do the same things and take a picture of the display in my car. my car is bonestock, parts are beeing shipped though. and i was doing about a constant 70mph without fluctuation for about an hour, and i made sure to drive late at night so i wouldnt hit traffic, had my v1 on and didnt run into any 5-0, didnt floor it the whole trip. and that was the result.

It only shows your current mpg and not your average mpg for the whole tank, which matters most to me. Few weeks back I did 27.4 mpg before I got my ECU reflashed and last Sunday I was doing 28.4 mpg after I got the reflash but I wasn't able to take pictures of that.

In the picture, I just came to a stop after exiting the freeway and although I was doing about 60-65 mph, the display showed 58 mph.

I just got my Evo last weekend and I've been averaging around the stated 22 mpg. I got it to 24 mpg while on the highway.

I drove through town today which is a little town... averaged 20 mph if that gives you an idea... there's some lights and a lot of stop signs here, but I wound up getting 19.5 mpg.

The best tips I can give are
1. Shift at about 2500 rpms. It's low, but not low enough that it bogs down the car.
2. Put the car into neutral when coming up on red lights or stop signs and just coast. If there is a hill coming up, do the same thing.. or hold the clutch in.
3. Someone already mentioned being smooth, but I second that.
4. Even though it's illegal, slow down, but do rolling stops if you can.
5. Same as #2 BUT again, try to keep the car rolling, if you see a red light quite a ways in front of you, put it in neutral and slow down gradually to give it time to turn green.
6. Again as already stated... cruise in as high a gear as possible without the engine bogging down.
7. Even though it's not 100% accurate, watch your mileage bar... the actual bar, not just the numbers, it gives a good general idea of how much fuel you are burning at that moment.
8. Keep your oil changed, air filter clean ( or changed depending on what you have ). A tune will help, so will a more free flowing exhaust... etc.

Hopefully some of this helps.

You could have also just pressed it. Mine gets 27 mpg if I press it going down the highway too, but eventually drops to a max fuel econ of about 25... maybe 26.
