Evolution X floormats

Has anyone else noticed the poor quality of the OEM floormats? I have VERY limited passengers in my vehicle so while my other floor mats are in pristine condition my driver's side mat is dishevled. I don't have that many miles on the car and I am working on a decent sized wear mark where my heel rests. I expected this to happen at some point but not this soon. Is anyone else experiencing this? I may try my luck with a set of Ralliart floormats.

Nope. a $20 set of deep (to keep the water, dirt, and rocks from getting to the real floor mats) plastic floor mats prevents that from happening for me

Speaking from experience these mats are a lot better than the Evo VIIIs mats. Your feet pick up every little thing that stick to your soles so what I usually do is kick off the bottom of my shoes before I get in all the time. Less dirt getting on the floor mat but if the floor mat is collecting dirt then its doing its job. Just clean the floor mats...but I understand where you are coming from though.

I don't have a problem with my stock mats, they seem to be in great shape after the first year I've had the car. I switched to rubber all weather mats though, because of the snow/salt in the winter and sand from the beach in summer.

Got myself a 4-pc set of Michelin all-weather rubber floor mats from Walmart for $29.99. They're thick and the design looks decent.

I have this problem too. I am already starting a good wear mark where my heels rest, the left foot is almost becoming a hole. I only have 3500 miles on this car too! The stock mats are pretty crappy in my opinion too.

I got the all-weather OEM mats for the Evo and they're ok. I'll probably sell them and get these though, cuz the winter in Ottawa is bad and I need more side support to prevent salty water from soaking the carpets

Exactly, mine is becoming a hole as well. I don't want to get the Ralliart tails if they are equally crappy.

Huh? Tails? I thought we were talking about floormats. I assume it's a typo. It's all good!
