I must say when zooming around we dont get the best gas mileage ever, but if you go the speed limit (65-70) which feels sluggish in the evo, we do get pretty good gas mileage.

I have a MR so my gearing is a bit better at high speeds than the GSR's. I dont drive as fast as I used to. I cruise at around 55-60 sometimes, sometimes as high as 90-95. This car likes to go about 95 or so.

In my old 05 STi I would cruise around 85-95. At 100 it was exactly at 4k and their was a vibration at around that speed so I would always go a little over or under in the STi. A few times I cruised at 120, my friends little bro even fell asleep in the back seat going 120! He was about 13 at the time

Even with my V1, I usually don't speed too often. When I do, the noise never bothers me because I always have music on. Rockford Fosgate FTW!

I usually try to maintain around 70mph to keep the engine noise down and get decent gas mileage.

When the roads are totally desolate or everyone else is speeding I'll cruise at 80mph. I don't find the noise to be that bad.

When I'm in no hurry whatsoever I'll do 70-75mph. This also keeps the piggies away.

About 5-10 mph over the speed limit if no cars are with me. 80-90 in stretches I know there is no place for Troopers to hide. My favorite though is when I find myself in a pack of insane people. My E55 was extremely stable at high speeds and I have that same feeling in the EVO.

80-90 probably isn't fast enough but be careful even if there aren't any troopers cause sometimes they'll clock you from a plane using the mile markers.

Dang thats crazy gearing for that STI, wish our evos had gearing like that, i think at 85mph is our 4000rpm mark.

But with the mods i have on my car, it gets kinda loud at 85 so i try and keep up about 75mph and the music blasting lol.

cruise like 70-80, sometimes up to 90, but at 90+ your really asking for a big ticket and insurance increase if u get pulled over

i have a passport 8500 but im not going to fool myself into thinking that will save me all the time.

The biggest reason I bought this car, other than the fact that I REALLY dig the styling, is it's cornering ability. When it comes to speed, I enjoy accelerating from a stop more than cruising fast. There is something called sensory adaptation and I think it drives the modding. I've owned several very fast cars and once I got used to them the initial thrill was gone. Except for the Porsche. That was so scary fast I never got used to it. Took off yesterday morning and put 125 miles on through some great backwoods countryside. Dozens of twisties. This is such a great car to enjoy in various ways.
