Anyone have issues with CoverCraft Technalon Custom Evo X car cover?

UPDATES:
Quick recap:
- Ordered Covercraft Technalon Evo X cover from Carcoversdirect which arrived in 9 work days
- Found that the mirror pockets did not fit the car. Issued a return request the next day.
- After a week of emails back and forth confirming the issue with pictures, Carcoversdirect gets Covercraft to recall the cover from my door using FedEx the next day, free of charge
- Covercraft takes 2 weeks to fix their Evo X pattern, make a new cover, and ship it out (regular 1 week shipping)
- 1 day ago: I received the cover, and here are pics!

Fitment is now absolutely perfect, quality is astounding and the price (approx $220, free shipping) is very competitive with the Mitsubishi cover, which is of lesser quality.

Despite a previously misfit product, I have to highly commend the great service from both Carcoversdirect and Covercraft on replying emails, responding quickly and fixing this issue efficiently.

ORIGINAL POST:
I ordered a Covercraft Technalon Evolution custom car cover made for the Evo X (Product #C17107) and it arrived today. Quality is great, fitting is great - except for the mirror pockets!

Even with 2 people, I couldn't get both mirrors to fit. The cover isn't wide enough. Or do MRs have uber huge mirrors compared to GSRs? In the end I had to fold both mirrors in so the cover could sit properly.

Right mirror:

Left mirror (without adjusting cover from previous pic):

Wtf I'm sure the Evo's mirrors aren't like that...

Empty pocket sitting over folded mirror:

Folded mirror, great fit otherwise:

Fits the nose like a glove:

Good accomodation for spoiler:

I really like the cover otherwise, but am considering returning it till they correct their measurements

Anyone else own one of these covers and have similiar issues?

haha classic...the car cover looks super excited and is raising its little t-rex sized arms in the air.

Just noticed when you have on a cover, it really accentuates the large size of the evo X.

Having to fold the mirrors everytime the car gets covered (daily) wouldn't be good for them in the long run... one would think paying $210, they would at least have measurements correct

LOL no kidding, I'd be more mad at the whole deal if not for how silly the covered car looks! Yea, I just filed a return request at their site.

LOL even then would the CF Jun mirrors fit? It's not how bulky the mirrors are, the cover cannot reach to the end of the mirrors to fit.

I will post updates on what the manufacturer has to say about my email complaint - this is just ridiculous!

UPDATES

CarCoversDirect, where I purchased the cover from, got back to me after 3 work days (and a weekend) saying they've contacted the manufacturer, Covercraft.

Covercraft issued a recall for the cover to re-measure it against their pattern, and are sending Fed Ex to pick up the cover from my doorstep tomorrow. Very nice of them!

Both CarCoversDirect and Covercraft have been extremely accomodating to this misfit car cover issue. to them for the great service so far.

That's good to hear, any manufacturer can makes mistakes but good to see that they are fixing the issue.

I had one for my old Corolla and it was VERY tight especially when it was new. The first thing I'd do is stick one mirror in its pocket, then pull it over the other mirror once the first was in the pocket. I could barely get it over the second mirror for the first few times but it stretched out a little over time and became a non-issue.

Yeah, first thing I tried was to stick one mirror fully in 1 pocket and try to pull the pocket over the other - the pocket hole could only stretch to 3/4 the way of the other mirror, even when the cover was stretched across the car at its limit. (Any more stretching would have torn the stitching of the pocket)

As seen by the 'Shrek ears' photo, the cover was definitely not cut well to suit the Evo X's mirror locations and angle of positioning on the car.

Thanks for the contribution as another Covercraft cover owner!

Well if you could, please post an update when they resolve the problem. I've been meaning to order one for my Evo but I'd rather wait so I don't end up with a screwed up one as well. =)
