if you remove the resonator on stock evo x exhaust i know it will be louder but will it be like a fart can? how about back pressure... will there be loss of hp/tq or more lag?

Just buy a exhaust instead of messing with the stocker. The restriction is still the diameter and probably muffler design.

try a test pipe if you don't have one first, that should bump up the sound a bit. i have a full tbe and the car doesn't sound like a fart can

What are you trying to do/achieve with this?

It will probably sound a little different but I doubt you will get any power gains. I wouldn't bother with it personally.

has anyone done this? i am curious about the sound. coming from the gti community, many people have done it and has made the car sound more throatier. yea, for the hp, it doesn't do anything.
