i've been driving with AC lately since it's been warm here near Chicago. earlier i mentioned the car drives different and i gotta say it's not that bad for my commute to work or just driving "normal." now if i were to go for a cruise thats different, i want all i can get, ha.

need to step on the gas more before you release the clutch (on take off), or else to much lag

I like the AC on. One, I live in TX...Two, it's like a damn windtunnel in the car! I feel like I am going to get blown away. Plus, until I upgrade my stereo I can't hear it with the windows down.

Please read the whole thread before you post...

But just to restate: If you're going under 50, then you're maybe a little right, but over 50 and you are wasting a ton more gas than the AC would.

It all depends on if I'm driving a long distance or a short one.....for instance driving from South Dakota to Pennsylvania without AC in the summer (yeah) the AC is coming on.....driving to 7-Eleven from the house or to the mall? Nah...AC is not required. But I do feel a difference in performance with the AC on... I think that happens with all four cylinders.

Right but if you're going 50 MPH or over then the gas mileage is better with the AC on. And if you're going less than 50 MPH it affects it by like 1 MPG...

Try that in Phoenix AZ with 116 deg days, 100 deg nights, and see how long you last before the a/c comes on.

I drive it when my kids are with me and my wife. But on my other evo x i had all the motor work done and turbo upgrade to s362. The guy that did my work got pissed cuased i yelled @ him to keeping my car for 2 months for the project. The ***** decided to drain my ac charge so that car does not have any ac charge but i hate it when the ac is on
